Chapter 24 Amelia-Rose kissed Ralph back, lifting her arms behind his back and squeezing his wiry shoulders. Ralph drew his hands from her face across her shoulders to her arms and pulled her closely too him. "Mmm that feels so good," he said. "I've just been wanting to do that for ever." She lifted her hands to his face, drinking in every feature. His blue eyes were framed by a high forehead and raven dark hair. She drew his face to hers again and sucked gently on his lips. Their tongues didn't meet. But the kiss was not chaste. It had an unspoken passion that was as strong as eternity. Amelia-Rose gasped as he tightened his arms and his hands roamed down to cup the curves of her thighs. Her body was lit up with emotions that were out of control and she could hear a thousand orchestras playing. Ralph's breathing was ragged and his hands were moving up under her pullover. But she pressed down on his arms to extract them despite the exquisite sensations his hands were giving her. "I've got to go," she said. "If I don't, It will be me that rapes you - and I'm not ready for that ... yet." Ralph pulled away and laughed happily. "Thank you for coming to see me," he said. "It's been a marvelous start of the day and I can't believe that you could ever have kissed me that way if you didn't feel for me what I feel for you. So you are leaving me a happy feller!" She put her shoes back on and he opened the door. She kissed him again in the doorway and the kiss seemed to go on for another eternity. Slowly, she disengaged herself and jumped to the soft ground outside. "When will I see you again," she said. "I don't want to say," said Ralph. "If I say a definite time, it will seem too long and yet you may say that it will be a day for a week and then I would die." Amelia-Rose pulled a face. "That isn't some clever way of saying 'don't call me I'll call you' is it?" She said wryly. "Silly girl. Why not just say ' see you later'? "Okay," said Amelia-Rose, content. "See you later!" Just before entering the forest, she looked back and Ralph was still standing there watching. She waved and he waved back then put his hand to his forehead in an expression of mock martyrdom and sadness at his loss. Amelia-Rose laughed happily and turned into the forest to follow the path back to her home. The day that had started so well for Amelia-Rose with her visit to see Ralph in his caravan took a turn for the worst when she got home. She'd decided to go to the local town and buy a car. It was the first step towards getting a job. It didn't need a posh car, just one that would make her mobile. She'd decided to drop her wedding dress into the charity shop while she was there but when she collected it from the clothesline she found it was torn in two places. It was completely ruined.
